Kentbury House
Multigenerational houses are becoming more desirable in areas like Montgomery County Maryland. As the local zoning codes are allowing more opportunities to build Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU’s) – either within single family homes or as a separate structure on the property – homeowners have more opportunities to utilize these units for their families, caregivers, or renters. This house was designed with an In-Law’s apartment off of the ground floor with Aging-In-Place concepts incorporated throughout. A 4-panel sliding door system between the ADU and the Primary House allows for the flexibility of a shared space while also giving the opportunity to close off the spaces when desired.
